Woke to the beautiful view outside my aunt and uncle's beautiful home in Arkansas overlooking the Ozarks in the distance.
Today is Andrew's birthday and so far it's been memorable...well at least I hope it has been so for him.
We woke up early greeted by nature then enjoyed belgian waffles with my family. Then we toured the Beaver Lake community. Apparently, Willie Nelson has stayed in one of the million dollar lakefront houses. The Whitney Mountain chapel is breathtaking and a popular location for weddings. After getting an elevated view of the lake, we headed down to the dock for a glorious boat ride. My uncle shared his knowledge of the area and various houses as we enjoyed the sun and breeze. Toward the end of the lake tour we docked at the marina where we fed some local carp.
Now we are on our way to Oklahoma City to see more of my family. We passed through the birthplace of Wal-Mart and the Walton empire.
The natural beauty of northern Arkansas is unexpectedly beautiful and I hope to come back especially to bring Andrew's parents.
Until OK....
